Haunui Silk (pronounced Hoo-noo-ee, meaning “place of the winds”) is a natural blend of raw mulberry silk and unique mixed-breed Haunui merino wool from the Taranui farm in New Zealand. This slightly rustic, un-dyed yarn features a charming thick-and-thin single-ply texture that wool lovers will cherish. With fleece blended to create rich shades of oatmeal, brown, gray, and black, no two sheep are the same, resulting in unique and luxurious tones. Ideal for heavy worsted-weight garments, this yarn is perfect for outerwear and other hard-wearing pieces.
